The  plenary session of the Twelfth International Scientific and Practical Conference on Programming UkrPROG'2020 (May 26-28, 2020) recommended to carry on holding  conferences on programming UkrPROG as a regular scientific forum once every 2 years.

From the 26th to the 28th of May, 2020, the Twelfth international scientific and practical conference on programming UkrPROG'2020 is held at the Cybernetic Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv. The conference is organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Cybernetic Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the National Technical University of Ukraine "I. Sikorsky Kiev Polytechnic Institute" and the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.

The purpose of the conference is to highlight the major achievements in science and practice in programming and software engineering and identify the main areas of development of this science and technology.

The conference program includes:

 plenary reports of leading scientists and software industry representatives;

 section reports on the thematic areas of the conference.

The working languages of the conference are Ukrainian, English and Russian.

The basic organization for the conference are the Institute of Software Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.


 theoretical and methodological foundations of programming;

 parallel programming of distributed systems and networks;

 methods and means of software engineering;

 methods of formal programming ;

 models and means of database and knowledgebase systems;

 educational aspects of programming;

 information systems;

 information security ;

 tools and environments of software development ;

 application software.

Scientists and software developers from Ukraine and the international community are invited to participate in the conference.

The language of the article submission may be Ukrainian, English or Russian. The texts of the articles are submitted by February 28, 2020, on paper in one copy, as well as by e-mail as a file of MS Word (*.doc or *.docx) at the addresses below. The technical requirements for the execution of works are added. The publication of the conference proceedings will include full texts of the articles. Selected works will be published in the journal "Problems of programming" (2020, № 2-3).

In addition, it is planned to publish the selected works by CEUR for ensuring their further indexation by the Scopus scientometric base.

Oral presentations and lectures are provided by devices for displaying transparent slides and electronic presentations. In addition, each report may be complemented by computer demonstration of software.

To participate in the conference with a report or without a report, authors have to submit an  application letter for each participant (the form is attached).

The Program Committee after reviewing the articles and applications notifies the authors about the acceptance / rejection of the articles, and participants without a report - about the acceptance of their applications, before March 20, 2020. All  participants of conference have to pay a registration fee before March 31, 2020.

Invitation to the conference will be sent to the participants after May 1, 2020.


February 28, 2020 - submission of papers;

March 20, 2020 - notification of acceptance or rejection;

March 31, 2020 - payment of registration fees;

May 1, 2020 - sending invitation letter for participation .


The registration fee for conference participants is 1100 UAH and includes a copy of the Conference Proceedings, coffee breaks and organisational expenses. The estimated registration fee for undergraduate and graduate students (if they are the sole author of the article) is 550 UAH.

The registration fee for foreign conference participants is 100 Euro (in UAH by current rate of euro by National bank of Ukraine).

Requirements to UkrProg`2020 paper execution

Requirements for registration of articles at the conference UkrPROG'2020

1. The article is submitted electronically (e-mail), as well as a one hard copy (high-quality printout on white paper). The volume of the article up to 8-12 pages. Increase in volume is possible only with the agreement of the member of the Program Committee which forms the program of the relevant section.

2. The electronic version of the article should have the format *.doc or *.docx. Page options: A4 paper size (210×297), mirror fields: upper and lower 2 cm; right 1 cm, left 3 cm, headers and footers 1,27 cm. The True Type font Times (Times New Roman Cyr) is the only height indicated below. The line spacing is single.

3. Both versions of the article are provided WITHOUT numbering of pages.

4. At the end of the article authors have to specify: 1) Contact telephone number and e-mail of the responsible person to work with the editor who prepare the article for publication; 2) The title of the article and the full names of the authors in English.

Additional information for CEUR publishing (a separate file):

1. Name and surname (in full, not initials) of all authors in English.

2. Title of article in English.

3. Annotation in English is not less than 250 words (not automatic translation, but verified text).

4. Written agreement of each of the authors for publication at CEUR ("We agree to publish at CEUR") signed by all authors (scan-copy of paper document). This agreement is a compulsory condition of CEUR publication.

Sequence of material placement and design

UDC (according to the new classification): font 12 pt; Paragraph with left alignment, indent to the left 1.25 cm, no vertical indents.

Heading 1 (article title): font 14 pt, bold, upper case; a paragraph with a central alignment, no transitions, horizontal indents, vertical indents - up to 40 pt, after 10 pt.

Authors: initials and surnames of authors, font 12 pt, italic (light); a paragraph with a central alignment, no horizontal deviations, vertical indents - up to 12 pt, after 6 pt.

Abstract and keywords are provided in three languages (in Ukrainian, English and Russian): 8 pt font, normal; Paragraph with alignment in width, horizontal indent left 1 cm, right 0, vertical indents - up to 6 pt, after 0 pt.

Heading 2 (section title): font 12 pt, bold; paragraph with left alignment, no transitions, horizontal indents, vertical indents - up to 8 pt, after 0 pt. The titles of the lower level (items, etc.) in an independent paragraph are not allocated and pass the first sentence of the text paragraph, font 10 pt, bold.

Main text of the article: font 10 pt, normal; a paragraph with alignment in width, a new line of 1 cm, horizontal and vertical indent.

Formula: 10 pt font (Microsoft Equation Editor 3.0 or Math Type formula editors are used); paragraph left alignment with two tabs - the central body of Formula 8.5 cm and a room right formula 17 cm horizontal indentation no vertical padding - 6 pt, after - 6 pt.

Bibliography (Literature): Numbering of sources according to DSTU 8302:2015 dated 01.07.2016. Font 8 pt, ordinary; numbered list, paragraph with alignment in width, hanging retreat 0.63 cm, horizontal and vertical indents.

Literature in English (References): list of sources used, written in the language of the article, translated into English. Examples of Harvard Style bibliographic references are listed in many publications, such as

Information about the authors: names and initials of all authors, academic title, position, address, number of publications (approximately), Hirsch index, ORCID number (site ORCID

Be sure to specify a mobile phone number and e-mail to work with the editor

Information about the place of work of the authors: the full name of the institution, index, address, fax, telephone, e-mail.

Graphic material (drawings, graphs, diagrams) must be represented as an independent object and placed in the Word document by inserting a drawing or object. The location is central with indents before and after 8 pt. Signed under the drawings centered, font 10 pt, retreat after 8 pt. Let's suppose the location of the figure and the signature under it in the frame outside the field with the flow of text. Large graphic image files for illustrations (for example, copies of high quality screens) must be converted to a color range of no more than 256 colors.

The file size for transmission (*.doc / *.docx) has  not exceed 1 MB.
